Who we are

Notcookd is run by [OPERATOR NAME AND ADDRESS IN QATAR: the founder's lawyer to fill in] (“we”). Contact: support@REPLACE-ME.

Notcookd is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) or by any exam board or school.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. If you are not, do not use the app. We may suspend access if we learn you are under 18.

Your tutor is an AI

• The tutor is an AI and its voice is synthetic. It is not a person, a teacher or a professional adviser.
• It can be wrong or make mistakes. Check important facts, formulas and mark-scheme details against your textbook, your teacher and the official syllabus.
• Marks and feedback it gives are a study aid, not official grades or a prediction of your results.

Your work and academic honesty

• Use the tutor to learn. Do not use it to write assessed work you will hand in as your own (for example an IA, Extended Essay, TOK essay or coursework). The tutor will refuse to.
• Follow your school's and exam board's rules on AI, and cite AI help where they require it.
• You own what you upload. You promise you have the right to use it and that uploading it does not break anyone's copyright. Do not upload exam papers or mark schemes you are not allowed to copy.
• You give us permission to process what you upload and type, and to pass it to the AI companies named in the Privacy Policy, only to provide the app to you. We claim no ownership of your work.

Plans, prices and renewal

Plans are bought in the iPhone app with in-app purchase, billed by Apple in US dollars (the App Store shows the final price in your currency).

• Lite: $9.99 a month or $89.99 a year, with 1.5 hours of voice time a month.
• Plus: $19.99 a month or $179.99 a year, with 4 hours of voice time a month.
• Pro: $34.99 a month or $319.99 a year, with 7.5 hours of voice time a month.
• Max: $59.99 a month or $539.99 a year, with 15 hours of voice time a month.
• Extra voice time, 1 hour: $5.99 for 1 hour of extra voice time, a one-time purchase that does not renew.
• Extra voice time, 2 hours: $9.99 for 2 hours of extra voice time, a one-time purchase that does not renew.
• Extra voice time, 5 hours: $19.99 for 5 hours of extra voice time, a one-time purchase that does not renew.

Voice time is the seconds the tutor speaks plus the seconds you speak. Silence is free. It resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC). Unused monthly voice time does not carry over; extra voice time you buy does until you use it. Typed chats, lessons, notes and practice are included within fair use: each plan has a monthly ceiling on AI cost, and we may slow or pause AI features for the rest of the month if you pass it.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple charges your Apple ID within 24 hours before the end of the period.

Cancel in iOS Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions (or use this Apple page). Deleting the app does not cancel. You keep access until the period you paid for ends.

Refunds are handled by Apple. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves, but write to us if something went wrong and we will help.

There is no account. Your plan belongs to your Apple ID: on a new phone, use Restore Purchases. Study data does not move with it.

Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the iPhone app.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law, to harm yourself or others, to make sexual or hateful content, to try to get around the limits or break the service, or to resell it. These rules pass on those of our AI suppliers, which you also agree to follow: Anthropic's Usage Policy and ElevenLabs' Prohibited Use Policy. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms.

Voice features and our voice partner

• The voice and speech features are provided by ElevenLabs. We are an ElevenLabs customer, not a partner or agent of ElevenLabs, and ElevenLabs does not endorse the app.
• ElevenLabs is a third-party beneficiary of these terms as they relate to its services and may enforce them.
• You agree to terms for those features that are at least as protective of ElevenLabs as ElevenLabs' own terms of use.
• You agree that ElevenLabs and its subcontractors may process your voice and related data to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Our responsibility

The app is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate but do not promise it will always be available or error-free, or that using it will improve your grades. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data stored only on your device, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you cannot lose by law.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms or the service; if a change matters, the app will tell you before it applies. You can stop using the app at any time (cancel your subscription and use Erase everything in Settings).
